Vision 2039: "Securing the Future of the Church"
As Chief Bishop and Chief Executive Officer of the Church of the Living God (C.W.F.F.), my vision is centered on Vision 2039—a Spirit-led, comprehensive strategy designed to secure the spiritual vitality, organizational strength, and generational continuity of our church as we approach our 150th anniversary.
Vision 2039 directly confronts one of the most urgent challenges facing our fellowship: the steady decline in membership, particularly among those 40 years of age and younger. Current projections indicate that without intentional, unified, and forward-thinking action, we risk a significant weakening of our local church presence by the year 2039. Therefore, I embrace this moment as both a divine assignment and a moral responsibility to lead our church into a future that is vibrant, growing, and intergenerational.
Vision 2039 is not simply a response to decline—it is a proactive commitment to strengthen, expand, and sustain the Church of the Living God through the following strategic pillars:
1. Strengthening Financial Stability Through Kingdom Stewardship and Innovation
Vision 2039 calls for the development of a stronger financial foundation by enhancing our current assessment-based structure with additional direct revenue streams. This approach ensures long-term sustainability while positioning the church for growth and expanded ministry impact.
As a measurable objective, we will launch new revenue streams within the next four years, creating diversified and sustainable funding models to support both ministry expansion and operational excellence.
Scripture: Malachi 3:10 — “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse… and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts.”
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 4:2 — “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”
2. Expanding Evangelism and Missionary Empowerment for Growth
A central focus of Vision 2039 is the intentional expansion of evangelistic outreach and missionary development. By equipping and empowering laborers, we will foster both spiritual transformation and measurable numerical growth at the local and national levels.
With intentional effort and unified commitment, we will work to increase overall Brotherhood membership by 10% by the year 2039, ensuring that our church continues to grow stronger across generations.
Scripture: Matthew 28:19 — “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…”
Scripture: Acts 2:47 — “And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
3. Advancing Godly Stewardship for Holistic Member Growth
Vision 2039 emphasizes the importance of equipping every member with biblical principles that promote both spiritual maturity and financial stability. Through intentional stewardship training, we will help members grow in faith, discipline, and personal responsibility.
Scripture: 3 John 1:2 — “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”
Scripture: Proverbs 21:5 — “The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance.”
4. Strengthening Discipleship Through Intentional Development Systems
To ensure lasting growth, Vision 2039 prioritizes the implementation of comprehensive discipleship programs. By supporting pastors and leaders with structured training models, we will nurture both new converts and existing members toward spiritual maturity and active service.
Scripture: Matthew 28:20 — “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”
Scripture: 1 Peter 2:2 — “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”
Closing Vision Declaration
Through Vision 2039, my mission is to lead the Church of the Living God into a future that is spiritually strong, financially stable, missionally active, and generationally relevant. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we will honor our rich heritage while boldly advancing into the future—ensuring that our church remains a powerful, living witness for Jesus Christ until His return.
“Together, we will not simply preserve the Church—we will position it to prosper for generations to come.”
Philippians 1:6 — “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
